Information Access and Procedures for Patient Referral

The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine is open for regular office hours Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and 7:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday.  The Center is also available after hours and on weekends for emergency access to information, referral and treatment.  The on call hyperbaric physician will be notified to answer questions or to arrange appropriate treatment.  Patients referred for emergency treatment should present to the Emergency Room at HCA Conroe Regional Medical Center after initial telephone contact with the Center for information and clearance.

Patients can be scheduled for elective evaluation and treatment be calling the Center during office hours.   Specific information my be requested by our staff to facilitate efficient care.

Our services are consultative in nature and not intended to replace the primary or referring physician.   Our staff is here to provide specialized care in close coordination with the patient's primary physician.  Frequent communication will be maintained between the patient's primary care physician and the Center.

Treatments can be scheduled on an inpatient or outpatient basis based on the patient's condition and requirements.  Most problem wound patients can be managed on an outpatient basis.   A Certified Diabetes Education and/or a Social Services Consultant is available to assist patients and families, as required.
